AUSTIN HEALEY 1960
FROGEYE
Vehicle Description
207 FTT was first registered on 14th July 1960, finished in Speedwell Blue which I think is the best colour for the little Sprite with Black interior and matching blue piping. Side screens, and tonneau cover are present ant the car is being fitted with a brand-new convertible top. It shows three previous keepers on the V5C. The buff logbook shows the car being first registered on the 14th July 1960 in Devon, the history of the car doesn't pick up until 2019 when the invoices for its restoration start to accumulate. Its then owner was a lady living in Dorset and bills from Frogeye Spares show a new boot floor and associated panels were required. The work was entrusted to South Coast Customs and Classics and also included repairs to the left-hand rear wing, arches, scuttle rain channel, bonnet hinge area, floor plan etc. Original steel bonnet. The shell was then fully flatted, the underside seam sealed, primed and painted in its original shade of blue. Frogeye Spares also provided a lot of the engine components for it’s rebuild, including a new oil pump, core plugs, timing chain, big end and main bearing sets, water pump etc, D&R James also of Poole fitting valve inserts for unleaded fuel and reboring and honing the block. Frogeye Spares also supplied a new wiring loom. There are plenty more bills besides dating back to the mid-60s. The little Frogeye looks fantastic and runs superbly, ready to use for the summer. Although not required the car will have a fresh 12-month MoT before the sale.
